Charlotte to host Mardis Gras-themed fundraiser

An upcoming fundraiser will bring a taste of New Orleans to Charlotte.

The Mardis Gras Gala is being hosted by the North Carolina chapter of the Lupus Foundation of North America. It will give the public an opportunity to have fun while they provide support for those living with lupus, and also to research into finding new treatments and even a cure.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Hot Sauce, and there will also be a silent auction, luxury raffle, a masquerade contest, and the queen and king of the gala will be crowned. The food served will be creole-inspired, and there will even be a fortuneteller. A printing services company can supply the organizers of this type of event with themed decorations, Banners, printed Menus, signage, and more.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease that affects different body systems and organs. According to the Lupus Foundation of America, it is estimated that as many as 1.5 million Americans are living with it.

The Mardis Gras gala will be held on March 3 in the Founders Hall of the Bank of America Corporate Center. Tickets are $175 each or $350 for couples, which includes the meal, drinks and entertainment. The suggested attire for the evening is black tie or semi-formal, and guests are encouraged to wear masks. Additional details can be found on the Lupus Foundation of America’s website.
