The 6th Annual Tri! Ballantyne and the Kids Tri! Ballantyne are coming to a local YMCA in Charlotte.
The triathlon consists of a 300-yard swim in an outdoor pool, a 12.7-mile bike ride, and a 5K run through local neighborhoods.
The kids’ tri is broken up into age groups. Six to eight-year-olds will participate in a 50-yard swim, a ¾-mile bike ride, and a ½-mile run. The 9 to 11-year-old age bracket will take part in a 100-yard swim, a ¾-mile bike, and a ¾-mile run. Finally, those in the 12 to 14 age range will complete a 150-yard swim, a ¾-mile bike, and a mile run.
After the race, families can enjoy the Tri Fest, where there will be live entertainment, food vendors, and games. Vendors have likely used poster printing to make Signs for their booths.
Up until July 15, registration costs $65 for individuals and $105 for relay teams. After that, individual registration is $70 or $115 for teams. Registration for the kids’ tri is $35.
Adult athletes should be ready to compete on July 18 at 7:00 am. The Tri Fest will take place from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. The event will end with the kids’ tri from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
It all starts at Morrison Family YMCA, located on 9405 Bryant Farms Road.Get a Free Quote for Signs
