Whether they walk, fly, swim, or slither, kids are often fascinated by wild animals, and a Charlotte activity will introduce youngsters to the local area’s scaly set.
The Reedy Creek Nature Center has scheduled an activity for elementary school age kids, and it will be all about snakes and how they live. Advanced registration is mandatory, and facilitator Megan Varvaro will share her knowledge of these animals with the group.
During the activity, kids will get to sit in on a special story all about snakes, and they may even be able to meet one up close and in person. They will be invited to make a craft as well, and while they have fun, the attendees will hopefully develop a greater appreciation for these often misunderstood reptiles. Parents or guardians must remain with their child throughout the event.
A class or workshop can give kids a fun way to learn some basic environmental stewardship. Activity sheets, observation logs, and promotional Pens can all be crafted by Print shops for an activity.
The Reedy Creek Nature Center, which is located at 2986 Rocky River Road, will be offering this snake appreciation session on Tuesday, September 12, beginning at 2:00 pm. Its registration system will go live closer to its scheduled date, and further details will be posted online at that time as well.
