What's Happening in Charlotte, NC…

Charlotte kids to get into the swing of things

An event is set to help a new crop of Charlotte golfers to develop a love of the game, and the kids who take part will enjoy three mornings of active fun.

Topgolf Charlotte-Southwest will be running its Spring Academy in April, and it will provide a fun way for kids from the ages of 6 to 12 to pick up new skills. The registration fee is $139, and parents are asked to consider the weather when choosing their child’s attire for the occasion.

Children in the program will each receive instruction, as well as lots of time to practice and play, and lunch is also included. Everyone will go home at the end of the three days with a special certificate as well as corporate gifts branded with the Topgolf logo design. As the academy is scheduled for the morning hours, there will still be time in the day for other activities.

The ratio of students to instructors will be kept low, as this will allow more individualized learning for each attendee. Putting, chipping, and golf etiquette are all on the agenda.

This chance for Charlotte kids to swing into golf will be on offer from Monday, April 10 to Wednesday, April 12 at 8024 Savoy Corporate Drive. Each day will run from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
