Charlotte event to recognize those who help others
People from across Charlotte work hard every day to lend their neighbors a helping hand, and during an upcoming Charlotte luncheon, they will be recognized for all they do for others.
The WINGS Charlotte SOAR Awards celebration will showcase those who put in tireless efforts to assist those in need and also to ensure that all local children have access to a high-quality education. According to the organizers, since people often do this work behind the scenes, they are pleased to be able to have an opportunity to thank them in a public fashion.
This will be the first year for the function, and awards will be presented to Mayor Jennifer Roberts, Systems Chief of Staff for the Carolinas Health Care System Debra Plousha, Senior Vice President Community Affairs at Wells Fargo Jay Everette, and retired Duke Energy Foundation’s Richard “Stick” Williams.
Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. will be serving as the keynote speaker for the day. Those who plan a function such as this can use the services of a printer’s graphic design department to provide them with awards that have been custom designed for the recipients.
The WINGS Charlotte Soar Awards luncheon has been planned for May 4. It will take place in The Westin Charlotte, which is located at 601 South College Street. Further information and an opportunity to purchase tickets to attend and be found on its website.
