What's Happening in Charlotte, NC…

Charlotte event to salute veterans

Veterans will be taking pride of place during an occasion that will be held at Charlotte’s Johnson C. Smith University.

The event will connect vets from all branches of service, as well as their families, with vendors and service providers in the Carolinas. It is also open to any member of the general public who is interested in coming out.

The first day of the function will be packed with mini-workshops, and many participants will have information booths and displays set up. Food trucks will be on site to feed the crowd, and raffles and other giveaways will also be on offer. Veterans with ID an anyone will be admitted free of charge, while the public will be asked to pay $5.00. Logo design and other print services for this type of large function can be obtained from a printer in the local area.

The second day will be dedicated to the “A Salute to Soldiers” concert. Award winning performers from across the Carolinas will be coming in to lend their talents to the occasion. It will be held in the campus’s Biddle Hall Auditorium.

This salute to former service members is scheduled to take place on June 23rd and 24th. It is being brought to the community through the efforts of NABVETS ENC Chapter#0069, and more information can be found on the event’s listing.
