Charlotte class to craft world class wigs

Making custom wigs is one way for a salon or beauty professional to add a new revenue stream to their business, and a workshop coming up in Charlotte will help them get started.

The wig making class, which is for licensed professionals, will be taught by ‘Limitless’, who is certified in crafting wigs and lace frontals. Kits are not included in the ticket price, but a full list of the materials needed has been provided.

Each registrant is asked to arrive on site before the workshop begins, and they will need to bring a sewing machine as well as a canvas block wig head, three bundles of inexpensive virgin hair, a three-foot-long extension cord, a comb, scissors, and a tripod mannequin stand. Masks will be distributed, and snacks and beverages will also be supplied.

A continuing education activity of this kind gives stylists a new way to increase their revenue. Training manuals and other texts, as well as certificates of completion, can be prepared for the occasion by area Stationery printers.

The registration fee for the Wig Making on a Sewing Machine class is $300, and it will be on offer in person at 9625 David Taylor Drive on December 13. Places can be reserved via Eventbrite. The session is available virtually, and anyone who is interested is asked to contact the organizer at least seven days ahead of the start date
