An event that will seek to make the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) subjects more exciting is one the way for Charlotte’s “techies in training.”
The campers in the Aerial Robotics: Quadcopters sessions will be taking part in high-flying, hands-on activities. While they are enjoying themselves, they will be learning some of the fundamentals of robotics and aviation.
The campers will gain experience using and flying quadcopters, and the learning will begin with the basics of the mechanics of these flying machines. They will take part in some simple soldering so that they can perform basic repairs, and once they are ready, it will be time to put their drone through its paces. The kids will be paired up into teams of two, and at the end of the week, they will each go home with their own hand-sized quadcopter to enjoy on their own.
