Aspiring basketball players and fans will want to leave the calendar open for June, as the Charlotte Hornets are hosting a summer basketball camp.
The Hornets Hoops Summer Summit will begin in a few weeks, offering an educational opportunity for Charlotte children to learn the basketball basics from professionals. The camp is a four-day event, with instructors teaching participants new skills and drills to improve their overall game.
Drills will include shooting mechanics, ball handling, defense, and footwork. All camp counselors and coaches have an extensive background in the game of basketball, with playing experience at the college and professional levels. Participants will also get to play in competitive games against other campers to compete and display their skill sets. Flyer printing is a great way to announce events like this in local communities.
Participants will compete for individual and team awards throughout the four-day camp. The event is geared toward basketball players between seven and 14 years of age. Participants will want to bring athletic clothes, basketball shoes, and water to stay hydrated throughout the camp. Swag Bags, including an official Wilson basketball, Hornets jersey, and two ticket vouchers for a 2024-2025 Hornets game, will also be provided.
Covenant Presbyterian Church will host the camp starting on Monday, June 17th. General admission tickets cost $325 per guest and can be reserved online.
