Lovers of arts and crafts may be interested a pottery class planning to educate Charlotte residents next month.
The Pottery Wheel Class is coming to Charlotte in a few weeks, providing training and insights to pottery enthusiasts and beginners. The course is designed to help new and intermediate artists learn to use a pottery wheel while crafting items in a safe and supportive group setting. Attendees with previous experience will have the chance to learn new techniques to sharpen their skills.
The instructor, Hope Thomas, plans to help students of all levels learn the intricacies of using a potter’s wheel. Thomas has over 20 years of experience creating pottery with the wheel. The course consists of six classes in total, which will be held on the same day and time each week for six weeks. Business card printing is an excellent way to spread awareness of pottery courses like this.
Each class session will include a demonstration from the instructor, with beginners learning the skills to make items like plates, bowls, and cups. Intermediate students will focus on throwing skills to create pieces at their preferred pace.
The first session of the course will be held at MakerSpace Charlotte on Monday, March 4, beginning at 10:00am and ending at 12:30pm. The course fee is $225, and students will be provided with all necessary tools and 25 pounds of clay.
