Rusty King, who is a resident of nearby Mint Hill, explained:
"It can be pretty slammed. I mean, we've been here a few times where [we] had to park kind of way up in the neighborhood here."
Edmond Bullock, who is the chef at the popular Zada Janes Corner Café, added:
"The first one in, gets the best spot. I mean...I don't know how to say...it's tough, it's tricky."
Additional parking in the area along Central Avenue could result in extra business for Plaza Midwood businesses. Merchants in the area are already excited about the prospect of more patrons. As local businesses see an increase in customers, Print companies in and around the Charlotte area may well see some extra business of their own as merchants in Plaza Midwood run sales and promotions to help attract these new patrons to their places of business. Banner printing, flyer printing, and poster printing are just a few ways merchants may choose to advertise to these new customers.
The proposed plan, on which a decision will be made this month, would add an additional 10 parking spaces throughout the day and up to 80 extra spaces in the evenings. The new parking plan stems from efforts of a new non-profit organization that intends to change the old Midwood Middle School to a community center. A city grant would allow $99,000 in funding to go towards a new parking area at the center.Get a Free Quote for Print
