The Mint Museum Randolph in Charlotte is hosting a series of ‘Mini-Masters Art Workshops’ for kids between the ages of two and five and their caregivers.
Along with creating art, children can develop their fine motor skills. Juice will be given to participants.
The first class is called ‘Elephants, Turtles, and Snakes, oh my!’ and will focus on looking at animal sculptures, playing with textures, and creating a touchable creature. This class will take place on September 23 and 24.
Next up is ‘Pattern Play’, where participants will get to stamp with paint and learn how patterns played a role in ancient art Forms. This class will set sail on October 21 and 22.
On November 18 and 19, the ‘Little Leonardos’ workshop will allow kids to paint with primary colors.
Finally, on December 9 and 10, the series will culminate with the ‘Treasure Hunt’ class, where participants will use gems and gold to decorate a box.
Registration for all four classes costs $50 for Mint members or $65 for nonmembers. Single classes cost $14 for members or $18 for nonmembers.
Each class will take place on Wednesday from 10:30 am until 11:45 am and on Thursdays from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm. Brochure printers were likely hired to make pamphlets to highlight the workshops.
