Charlotte residents can celebrate Labor Day with a race and a festival.
The U.S. National Whitewater Center is hosting a
Labor Day Trail Race and celebration.
The day will begin with a 15K and a 5K race along the center’s trail system. Awards will be distributed to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
Then, guests can head over to the Labor Day Celebration where there will be a cornhole tournament, food, raffles, and fireworks. Live entertainment includes performances from the Dead 27s and The Congress. For $45 a person, attendees can enjoy terrace access, a meal, indoor restrooms, and a great viewing spot.
Prior to September 3, registration costs $27 for the 5K and $37 for the 15K. If space is still available, race-day registration costs $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 15K.
Packet pickup will take place on September 4 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the NoDa Brewing Company. It’s likely a Stationery printing service created packets with all of the important race information.
It all takes place on September 6 with the 15K kicking off at 9:00 am, followed by the 5K at 9:15 am. Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 7:30 am. The fireworks show will begin at 9:30 pm.
