Fundraiser brings back the 1920s

The 28th annual Great Gatsby Ball is taking place next month in Charlotte. It is a fundraiser for the National MS Society Greater Carolinas Chapter.

The theme of the ball is the 1920s and guests are encouraged to dress in period costume or black tie.

A special VIP Speakeasy Lounge will be the location of a pre-event reception an hour before the ball. Each guest will enjoy appetizers and drinks and will receive a special gift.

The ball itself will feature the Russ Wilson Orchestra, swing dancing, and a silent auction. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar with beer and wine.

Organizers are still accepting donations of items for the silent auction from local businesses or individuals. Sponsorships are also available for purchase.

The National MS Society Greater Carolinas Chapter serves 97 counties in both North and South Carolina. It provides funds for research and promotes awareness of the disease.

Charlotte printing companies often provide items such as printed Invitations or signage at charity events such as this.

The Great Gatsby Gala will be held at the Wells Fargo Atrium on August 27 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $75 each or $120 for two, while VIP tickets are $125 each. To find out more about the gala or the organization, contact Carol Roth at 704-525-5906.
