QuickBooks, an accounting program used by many organizations in the not-for-profit sector, will be the subject of an upcoming training session in Charlotte that will provide an introduction to this software as it applies to charities and nonprofit groups.
The first part of the day will deal with topics such as how to set up accounts, entering programs, how to add the annual budget, creating reports for the accountant, board and others, entering the outside payroll, tracking donors and members, and other useful applications of the software. The new features of the 2016 version of QuickBooks will also be presented, as will a comparison of the desktop and online versions.
The afternoon portion of the day will be more intense and will include more advanced options. Applications such as tracking fundraisers, recording in-kind donations, tracking volunteers, and advanced budgeting will all be covered. A company that provides Mailing services can send out advertisements for a course such as this to all of the nonprofit groups in the area that may benefit from receiving this instruction, which will be provided by Gregg S. Bossen, CPA.
QuickBooks Made Easy for Nonprofits will be held on November 29 in Charlotte, with the location to be announced. The cost to attend is $169, with additional persons from the same organization being offered a lower rate of $99 each.
More information and an opportunity to register can be found on the course’s website.
