Terrariums offer a way to garden in miniature, and this practice will be introduced during a holiday-themed horticultural class.
The team at PlantHouse, which can be found at 2452 Park Rad in Charlotte, has organized a workshop that will teach how to prepare and care for a small terrarium of plants suited to the beginner. It was explained that as this activity was a sell-out last year, tickets are expected to go fast, and the function is recommended for those age five and up. Parents must remain on site with their child.
Each ticket holder for the class will receive the materials they need, including plants, soil, holiday-themed accessories and other items, to complete the project. Tips for keeping these mini gardens healthy and thriving will be shared, and while the kids work, the adults can mingle and socialize. Admission for the workshop is $26, and only the children will need to purchase a pass.
Terrariums and dish gardens offer a fun way to introduce the younger set to horticulture and a closed ecosystem. Sheets containing care sheets and other items for an activity will be available at local Stationery printers.
PlantHouse will be giving Charlotte families an extra bit of festive fun on Sunday, December 18. It will run from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.
