Charlotte Residents to show support for brain tumor sufferers

An event will be held in Charlotte to help raise both funds and awareness about brain tumors.

The Charlotte Brain Tumor Race is open to both teams and individuals alike, and is being hosted courtesy of the National Brain Tumor Society. It will give those who take part a chance to celebrate the lives of both those who have survived their battle with a tumor as well as those who did not and also help to make others aware of this health condition.

The cost to take part in the race is between $25.00 and $50.00, depending on the participant’s age and when they register. It is open to all ages, and there will be a survivor walk as well as 5 and 10-kilometer routes and an awards ceremony. For the kids, there will be a fun zone, and both Hope and Celebration and Survivor tents will be set up. Banners can designed for events such as this to further help make the public aware of the cause.

The funds that are collected will be used to help further research in the field and also help to create changes in public policy so that the latest in treatments is mode available to those who need it.

Anyone who would like to take part in the Charlotte Brain Tumor Race, which is scheduled for April 2nd, or make a donation is invited to visit the event's website.
