The Community Culinary School of Charlotte will soon be offering a program for those who may be interested in a career in the culinary field.
The organizers will be hosting an information night where those who are looking to pursue a career in cooking can find out more about what this initiative is all about. The students will gain hands-on expedience working with chefs and their assistants, and will cover an assortment of topics, including pasta cooking, eggs cookery, cookie baking, making béchamel sauce, and hot water crust. As they work, the participants will learn more about safe food handling practices, knife skills, menu planning, and industry service standards.
It is a requirement that those who wish to take the course attend the session, as this is when registration will take place. The fee to sign up is $30, which must be paid up front. Checks and cash will be welcome, but credit or debit cards will not be accepted. Booklet printing can be used to create informational materials for distribution during an event like this.
This open house style information session will be held on September 20 in Suite D of 9315 Munroe Road. It is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm, and anyone who would like to find out more has been asked to visit its event listing.
