Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools looking for future educators

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) will be hosting a career fair for anyone who may be interested in pursuing a teaching career in the local area.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Instructional Career Fair will be hosted by hiring managers that will represent the 160 different schools that can be found in the district. A variety of positions will be available, including teaching, counselors, and media specialists. It is open to both those from the state and outside it as well.

All those who attend are asked to bring along multiple printed Copies of their résumé and official educational transcripts. Those on mobile devices will not be accepted. The potential candidates who come out to the event are also asked to dress professionally.

Those who are interested in attending are asked to register online ahead of time. There are different registration types to select from; they include options for those who are applying as lateral candidates, licensed candidates, or STAR candidates. Presentations folders can be created for use during events such as this, and can be filled with information the applicants may find useful.

CMS currently has more than 147,000 students in classes from kindergarten to grade 12. It is currently the country’s 19th largest school district.

Further details about the job fair, which will take place on May 21 at The Park Expo & Conference Center, can be found on the CMS website. It also provides an opportunity to register for the career fair.
