Charlotte Hornets to host youth basketball camp
Parents with children who have a passion for basketball are in luck this summer, as the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets are hosting a skills camp series.
The Hornets Hoops Summer Camp will open enrollment for Queen City youth looking for a chance to grow their skills with help from professional players and instructors. The four-day camp is suitable for children between seven and 14 years old and will feature several drills and stations to help each participant gain confidence and grow their understanding of the game.
The primary drills will focus on dribbling, shooting footwork and mechanics, mental approaches, and rebounding. Participants will also have opportunities to play in competitive games with their peers to build their skills in practical settings. Individual and team awards will be handed out at the end of the competitive games. Flyer printing is an effective way to promote camps and similar events in the community and raise awareness through grassroots marketing.
All coaches are qualified with experience at the collegiate and professional levels, and all are background checked to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Attendees will receive a swag bag with a jersey, shorts, and ticket vouchers for a Hornets game.
The camp will start on Monday, July 21st, at the Myers Park Presbyterian Outreach Center in Charlotte. Check-in is at 9:00 AM. Registration costs $312.24 per attendee online.
