Charlotte foodies will soon be able to enjoy a culinary tour of the world without ever having to leave their hometown, and this will be the first time the function has been held.
The International Food Swap Potluck style dinner will be on offer this September, and it will give the public an opportunity to try food from all over the world. Everyone who plans on bringing a dish will need to indicate this when they register, and they will have the opportunity to purchase a ticket at a discounted price.
The assembled group will be able to sample as many of the dishes as they wish, and mains, sides, soups and salads, appetizers, and desserts will all be on the menu. To help make sure everyone brings something different to the table, the planners have created a registration system, and everyone who plans on bringing food will be able to indicate what they plan on contributing.
A pot luck meal makes it easy for guests to sample a variety of food. Printed recipe cards for an activity can be crafted by area Stationery printers, and these will make it easy for home chefs to prepare a dish in their own kitchen.
The International Food Swap Potluck will begin at 5:00 pm on September 17. Charlotte’s The Regency at Palisades will be the location for the celebration.
