Those in Charlotte have a chance to celebrate fall at the upcoming ‘Lowcountry on the Green’ lawn party.
The Mint Museum Randolph will be hosting the party, at which guests can enjoy a Lowcountry meal. This style of cuisine typically features seafood, with rice, grits, and regional produce often part of the meal too.
Along with Southern-inspired food and drinks, guests will also be treated to live music and dancing. Smitty Flynn and the Rivieras will provide the accompanying music.
Proceeds from the silent auction will assist 'Communities in Schools' (CIS). By providing students with a support system, the organization aims to prevent kids from dropping out of school. One of the ways CIS hopes to provide support is with a safe spot for learing and developing career skills.
Dubbed North Carolina’s first art museum, the Mint has collections from all over the world. Its lush grounds are ideal for a lawn party. In order to promote the event, the museum may have used a flyer printing service to design an attractive handout.
Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased on the CIS website or by calling Alex Earles at 704-943-9433. From this cost, $60 is tax deductible. The festivities kick off on September 27 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The museum is located 2730 Randolph Road.
