An exhibit will soon be on display in Charlotte’s Schiele Museum of Natural History and Planetarium that will give young and old alike a chance to learn more about the rocks and minerals that make up their world.
The museum will have 1,500 square feet of displays that will be dedicated to geology and the study of the earth. Both rare and common specimens will be on exhibit, and while they browse, visitors will have a chance to learn about how the field is constantly changing as new discoveries are made.
The rocks and minerals included in ‘Minerals of the World’ come from all over the globe, and financial support for this event has been provided courtesy of Piedmont Lithium. It will be housed in the Stowe Gallery, and those who come out will also be able to browse through all the other displays and activities the institution has to offer the public. They can also stop by the planetarium to take in a show and learn more about the universe beyond their home. Signage, Brochures, and other materials for this type of function can be sourced from an area printing services provider.
This opportunity to explore the world of rocks and minerals will be open starting at 9:00 am on July 7. More details can be found on the museum’s website.
