Charlotte class to help photograph hummingbirds

Hummingbirds are tiny but speedy Flyers, often making them hard to photograph successfully. A Charlotte area workshop may just help area enthusiasts get a great shot.

The flower beds at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden attract a variety of wildlife, and hummingbirds are among the creatures that take advantage of the buffet. The Wren Room in its Visitors Pavilion will be the venue for the class, and the facilitator for the session will be Dave Kelly, who is an area wildlife photographer and studio owner.

The participants will learn a variety of techniques to photograph these tiny birds as they zip around, and everyone will be able to practice what they have learned. Kelly will answer any questions the attendees might have, and the registration fee being charged for the two-and-a-half long function is $70.00 per person. It is restricted to those age 12 and up, and tickets may be reserved in advance.

Organized classes like this offer the public a chance to learn some new skills and improve the abilities they already have. They are often included in community guides, local magazines, and other publications, all of which can be created by area Print shops.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden has made arrangements to welcome registrants for this activity on Saturday, July 30. It will begin at 9:30 am sharp.
