As fall arrives and Charlotte kids head back to school, a movement is underway to help make sure these institutions of learning have what they need to provide a high quality education to their pupils.
Organized by the CMS Foundation, it can give individuals and businesses alike an opportunity to find out more about how they can lend the city's schools a helping hand.
The funding and awareness raiser, which has been dubbed the “Schoolanthropy Luncheon”, will offer details about how contributing financially to the success of Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools can be a sound investment in the future. More than 148,000 kids can benefit from this initiative, and the goal is to get the entire community behind Charlotte’s schools.
The event is scheduled to open with a mixer starting at 11:30 am, and after this, the programming for the luncheon will begin. Both individual and group ticketing options are available, and CMS noted that this will be its largest fundraiser this year.
