This month, individuals can experience a ‘taste’ of the Caribbean at the Charlotte Carnival 2014.
DJ Thunder will be providing entertaining music, and there will also be a festive parade with vibrant costumes and dance presentations. Authentic food, activities for kids, and opportunities to learn about the Caribbean are some other highlights the family-friendly event has to offer.
The Charlotte Caribbean Festival Association is hosting the nonprofit event, hoping to educate individuals about Caribbean culture. By providing Charlotte with the traditions, food, and performances associated with the region, the organization aims to promote diversity in the local community.
Admission is $10 and kids under 13 years old can attend free. Tickets can be purchased on Event Brite.
Thousands of people are expected at the parade and festival. No doubt local Print companies have been busy making promotional materials such as Flyers for the event.
A variety of volunteer positions are available for individuals who are at least 16 years old. Some of them are intended for people who are 21 years old or older.
