Camp to teach painting fundamentals in Charlotte

A painting fundamentals course is being planned for young artists in Charlotte, and students seeking a break from the summer heat are encouraged to attend.

The Creativity Camp will begin its painting fundamentals course in a few weeks, offering young artists in Charlotte a chance to gain new skills while honing existing ones. Participants will receive guidance as they explore the world of different painting techniques and types of paint. Instructors will teach guests how to use acrylics and watercolors while learning to blend and create vibrant pieces.

The course provides a week of learning and discovery for registered students. The full-day courses are designed to accommodate students from 2nd grade to 8th grade. Instructors aim to inspire creativity and imagination for the students enrolled in the painting class. Printing services are vital for sharing finished works with friends and family after completing art courses like this.

A professional artist will lead the painting course, giving each student one-on-one attention to help them grow their skills. At the week-long course’s conclusion, parents and family will be invited to celebrate and see the completed works of the enrolled students.

The course will be held at the McColl Center beginning on Monday, August 5, with the class starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 4:00 PM. Enrollment costs $375 per student, and parents can sign their kids up online.
