Trolls invade St. Louis

A show based on a movie based on a toy is on the way to St. Louis.

Trolls LIVE is based on the 2016 animated film, which in turn was inspired by the Troll doll toys. Thomas Dam, a Danish woodcutter and fisherman, created the dolls in 1959, as a Christmas gift for Lila, his daughter. The troll came entirely from Dam's imagination, but the story goes that his daughter's friends soon wanted one too. Dam formed his company, Dam Things, and began making the dolls of plastic, calling them Good Luck Trolls. They have been popular since the 1960s, culminating in the release of the film “Trolls.”

The musical builds on both these properties to put the trolls on stage, where they take part in a new adventure. “Hug Time” is in danger, so Poppy, Mr. Dinkles, Biggie, Fuzzbert, Guy Diamond, Smidge, Cloud Guy, Cooper, and Branch team up to save the day. The show is interactive, with the excitement, fun, and, above all, happiness, associated with the Trolls.

Trolls LIVE will be at the Stifel Theatre on Market Street on October 2 at 6:30 pm, October 3 at 2:30 pm, and October 4 at 2:30 pm. These performances have been rescheduled from May. VIP tickets are available, which entitle ticketholders to join a VIP Party that includes a meet and greet with Branch and Poppy. Poster printing can be used to create colorful advertising for events like this.
