St. Louis to offer homebuying workshop

The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) will visit the Julia Davis Library in St. Louis to give a workshop.

The NACA Homebuyer Workshop is an event where those interested in becoming homeowners can learn about helpful resources. The presentation will focus on the NACA Home Purchase program and cover the Ten Steps To Home Ownership. The workshop will also teach attendees about the refinancing process. The information from the lecture can help participants become mortgage-ready and NACA-qualified. Adults are the intended audience of the homebuying workshop.

The NACA is a nonprofit organization that aims to build strong neighborhoods in both urban and rural areas. The group offers counseling for those with dreams of owning a home and provides services that reduce the cost of homeownership. The organization began in 1988 and has been involved in several campaigns, including research campaigns against mortgage scams. People can visit the NACA website for tools like a mortgage calculator.

The homebuyer workshop will be on Saturday, August 3rd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. There is no cost to attend the NACA’s presentation, though all guests are required to register on the organization’s website in advance. The workshop will only be available in English. Libraries that host similar workshops to this may use poster printing services to make advertisements that help more patrons learn about their events.
