St. Louis celebrates cabin fever

Cabin fever is irritation that comes from being cooped up, usually in winter, but this year it's something to celebrate.

The Schlafly Brewery is presenting their Cabin Fever event, a chance to enjoy winter with some cold (literally) beer, live music, and great food. The event is being held outside, in the parking lot at Schlafly Bottleworks, where the brewery will be serving over 30 different brews for enthusiasts to sample. Among their beers are a pale ale, hefeweisen ale, and oatmeal stout, and seasonal treats such as summer lager and Oktoberfest. Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly and plan to enjoy the afternoon.

In addition to beer, there will be hot comfort food, bonfires, and a heated patio for those who do not wish to remain outside in the cold. Food on the festival site itself is limited, but the full menu of the Bottleworks will be available inside.

The event is scheduled for January 11, from 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm. The rain date is January 18, but the event won't be canceled unless the weather is so severe it is dangerous to remain outside. The event is for those 21 and over, and dogs are welcome, but owners should take the weather into account, and probably leave the pooch at home if the temperature is extremely cold.

Banner printing is a great way to create decorations for outdoor events like this.
