St. Louis bar to open new location

Brennan's, a popular bar located in St. Louis's Central West End, recently announced it plans to open a second location, which will be called Brennan's Work & Leisure, in Midtown.

The original Brennan's is known mostly as a bar, though it now includes the likes of a cigar club and a co-working space. The new location will include such amenities from the start.

The new Brennan's Work & Leisure will start as a cafe serving mostly grab-and-go meals, but it will also have spaces that can be used for events or co-working purposes, some of which will be available for lease. A bar serving cocktails, wine, and beer will be added later, as will small plates and some of the dishes for which Brennan's is known.

Kevin Brennan, who owns the space, says the first floor comprises 6,000 square feet, plus there is a mezzanine that has another 1,000 square feet of space. Offices will take up most of the 7,000 square feet of available space, but a portion that faces the front of the building, spanning about 1,500 square feet, will be the public area.

The location is on Midtown Alley, a district that is rapidly becoming a hub for marketing and design companies, and reminds Brennan's managers of the Central West End when they first opened there.

As businesses like this get ready to open, managers might work with a flyer printing company to create a mailer to the business community, announcing the new facility.
