St. Louis artist to offer marbling workshop
The owner of Nestfeathers will offer a paper marbling workshop in December at her studio in St. Louis.
The Paper Marbling Experience is a program where students can learn how to create marbled papers in a stress-free environment. Participants will get to work with 25 sheets of paper during the workshop. Those who attend the class should wear clothes they don’t mind getting acrylic paint on, and all students should wear comfortable shoes to the event. Only people who are 18 and older can attend the event, and participants must be able to get up a set of stairs to access the studio.
The workshop instructor is JoAnna Jackson, an experienced artist with more than 15 years of experience marbling paper. She can work in many mediums, such as mixed media, textile design, and watercolor painting. Jackson’s creations have been displayed at many notable venues, like the Shelby Artists on Main gallery and the Pink Door. She has also created pieces for the Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta.
The paper marbling workshop will be on Saturday, December 9th from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Tickets to the program cost $225 per person. Breakfast, lunch, drinks, and a snack will be provided to students. Artists who arrange workshops like this may use business card printing to share their official websites and contact information with students and potential clients.
