The St. Louis HBCU Alumni Association will be organizing a scholarship summit in November.
The 5th Annual Scholarship Summit is an event that offers high school students helpful resources for college. Attendees can participate in workshops on subjects like financial aid basics and SAT prep. There will also be a pep rally, lunchtime rally, and a community fair with representatives from historically black colleges. The event will take place at the Harris-Stowe State University Community Impact Network Education Center.
The St. Louis HBCU Alumni Association is an organization interested in promoting the HBCU legacy through community events. Past activities held by the group include HBCU Day at the Ballpark and St. Louis HBCU Alumni Association Scholarship Fair. People may become a member of the organization for $30 per year to receive benefits such as access to the association’s news, complimentary appetizers during social functions, and voting rights in the group.
The scholarship summit will take place on Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Guests can attend the informative program for free, though students and their families should register in advance. Those who enter the event premises will consent to be in any photos or recordings of the summit. Associations that coordinate activities for high schoolers such as this may use poster printing to advertise their events in schools.
