Groupon is now delivering food in St. Louis
Groupon To Go, the on-demand food delivery arm of Groupon, has begun operations in St. Louis, according to a recent article in Business Wire.
As of October, 12, 2016, businesses and residents in several St. Louis neighborhoods have been able to have food delivered right to their doors by using the Groupon mobile app. Delivery areas include The Hill, Soulard, Midtown, Tower Grove, Central West End, and Gateway City.
Dan Roarty, who is senior vice president of restaurants for Groupon, believes St. Louis has an “underrated” food scene. Although ethnic restaurants and fine dining places exit, many have not offered delivery.
Groupon To Go will deliver food from over 40 restaurants including Kampai Sushi, Las Palmas, Mama's on the Hill, Qdoba, and Basil Spice Thai. People who place orders can pay by Apple Pay or credit card. They will also be able to track the delivery using a digital map, so they will know exactly when their order will arrive. Groupon To Go offers several deals on deliveries, including savings on entire orders, and some on popular items.
Groupon has delivery service of some kind in over 40 markets, with St. Louis the third to have the Groupon To Go service available. New customers in St. Louis can save $10 on their first order.
Companies like these can create colorful brochures explaining their services and mail them to area residents.
