Danville foodies may want to make sure they are on hand for an event that will crown the area's chili champ.
Danville Kiwanis Club has been selected to serve as the charity of choice for the Charity Chili Cook-Off, and its Wilderness Trail Distillery will be helping to bring the event to the community. Sampling will be the order of the day.
Whether they like their dish mild, medium, or red hot, the public will find plenty of unique tastes. The function has been designed so that it will be family friendly. Horse drawn wagon rides will add a dash of excitement, and live music will also be in the mix. Chili tasting tickets will be $10 each, and attendees will be invited to meet the various cooks and learn about the recipes behind some of their favorite dishes.
A friendly culinary competition may attract attention from the public. A poster printing company can prepare marketing materials to display during the lead-up to an event, as well as special awards to present to the winners.
This chance for Danville residents to help crown the community's next Chili Champ will be on offer on Saturday, October 17. The festivities are set to begin at 11:30 am on that morning. The location can be found at 4095 Lebanon Road. in Danville.
