Danville kids are about to experience all the fun of the farm, thanks to a gathering that will be held at a members of the city’s small business community.
Plaid Elephant Books offers an assortment of workshops and other activities to help kids build literacy skills, and its Farm Fun Storytime session is right around the corner. Best suited to preschoolers, it will introduce an assortment of agricultural themes, and a special guest will be on hand to meet the attendees.
Good Thyme Farm will be lending a hand with the session, and it will include a story reading with members of the Educators Rising Club at Danville High School, which helps future teachers practice their skills. Everyone can make a new feathered friend as Baby, who is a friendly chicken, will pose for photo ops and accept gentle interaction. Everyone can make a mini garden to take home.
