Yearly golf tournament returns to Hoffman Estates

The Scott R. Triphahn Celebri-Tee Outing golf tournament is taking place next month in Hoffman Estates. It is a fundraiser for the Friends of Hoffman Estates Parks Scholarship Fund.

Each foursome will have a former professional athlete playing with them. Some of the athletes expected to appear include former Chicago Cubs member Bill Campbell and Gene Hiser of the Chicago White Sox. Fees are $185 per person and include a driving range warmup with PGA instruction. There will be a putting contest with a $5,000 prize and lunch and beverages will be served on the course. Participants can also take part in the Hole in One challenge to win prizes.

The tournament will be followed by cocktails and a dinner buffet, and an auction and prizes will be awarded for various on-course achievements.

Sponsorships are available from $250 up to $5,000, and sponsors will be recognized in the event brochure that will be widely distributed before the tournament.

It’s likely that organizers will be working with a Hoffman Estates brochure printing firm to produce the needed advertising material.

The Scott R. Triphahn Celebri-Tee Outing will be held at the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club on June 14 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. To learn more, or to become a sponsor of the event, contact Peg Kusmierski at 847-310-3617.
