The annual Northwest Celtic Fest is returning to Hoffman Estates at the end of next month, and is presented by the Celtic Fest Commission.
The festival is a celebration of all things Irish, Welsh, and Scottish. There will be a Celtic marketplace with related items for sale, and a variety of traditional foods available for purchase. Representatives from clans will also be on hand to provide information to the public.
There will be performances from Irish dancers and Celtic musicians and groups. The Great Lakes Irish Wolfhound Association will be showcasing several Irish wolfhounds, and birds of prey will be on display. There are also expected to be children’s activities such as face painting.
Vendor spaces are still available until March 20. Fees are $50 for displays only and $100 for merchants, which includes a business license. Each space is 10 x 10 feet, and tables, chairs and other accessories are extra. Organizers are also looking for people to provide activities, both free and paid.
It is likely that this event will be widely advertised in Hoffman Estates, which may include the distribution of Flyers or the display of Banners on downtown streets.
The Northwest Celtic Fest will be held at the Sears Centre Arena on April 29 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. For more information about becoming a vendor, contact Jennifer Djordjevic at 847-781-2610.
