Kindness Gala Foundation in search for nominations

The Kindness Gala Foundation is looking for people to nominate locals who will win a grant.

The Foundation was started by Amy and Vince Logan. They were motivated to found the Kindness Gala Foundation after Amy’s sister’s life was saved thanks to donations from nonprofit groups that helped her beat cancer.

Amy wanted the community to know that these groups are out there, and they help families in times of need. Most Foundations are based on research, but Amy wants the Kindness Gala Foundation to concentrate on families and individuals who require immediate assistance. Promotional Products and other Forms of charitable donations are often well-received by these charities.

Nominees who wish to win the grant must adhere to certain conditions, which include:

- being a resident of Illinois, with preference given to people from villages such as Hoffman Estates in Cook, Kendall, and DuPage counties
- having no funding from corporations and relying on community support alone
- submitting a report on exactly how the funds were used by June 1 the following year, or risking having to give back any money awarded by the Kindness Gala Foundation

The winners will be selected by Ambassadors from the Kindness Gala Foundation. Nonprofits that did not win can reapply for the grant the following year. Winners must wait at least five years before applying again. The maximum amount that any individual or organization can receive is $5,000.

Applications have to be sent in by January 31 via the Foundation’s website.
