June festival showcases young artists

The 15th annual Buffalo Grove Art Festival is taking place for two days next month. Presented by Amadur Productions, it was named one of the top 50 shows in the United States by Sunshine Artist magazine.

There will be more than 100 artists on hand to sell their handmade items, such as paintings, jewelry, ceramics, and prints. The lineup will include a number of artists aged 18 and younger. Many of the artists are set to provide demonstrations of their art process and talk to the public about their works. They will also be competing for several awards, including ‘Best Of’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement’ in several categories.

In addition, art activities for children will include a graffiti wall, coloring, spin art, and a scavenger hunt. There will also be food and drink available for purchase, and entertainment from musical group Citrus Falcon and others.

This event is expected to attract approximately 30,000 people who will no doubt come from all over the area, including nearby Hoffman Estates. To advertise, organizers no doubt invested in products from local poster and postcard printing firms.

The event will be held at Buffalo Grove Town Center from June 4 to 5 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM each day. Admission is free of charge. For the most up-to-date information about this event, call 847-926-4300.
