The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce and Industry are presenting "Ignite your passion for fashion" at the Chicago Marriott NW at the end of October.
This event is a fundraiser for the Chamber's scholarship fund. In addition to a fashion show featuring several local clothing boutiques, there will also be a silent auction, a raffle, a live auction, and lunch will be served. In past years, makeover consultations have been provided.
Local businesses are sure to be donating items for both the silent and live auction. As well as being a kind gesture, this is a form of marketing that is as important as business card printing to a company. Both methods help to put forth an air of professionalism and competence. Donating items is also a chance to make their products known to those who might have been unaware of them.
There will be plenty of time during this event for business brains to exchange Business Cards before, during, and after lunch. It is suggested that those attending networking events that involve a meal sit with people they do not know and encourage everyone to introduce themselves and hand out business cards. This gives people a chance to practice their elevator speech and a chance to meet someone who might help take their company to the next level of success.
