Hoffman Estates offers introduction to game of golf

Whether they want to learn how to golf for networking or for fun, a Hoffman Estates learning opportunity next week will introduce new players to the basics of the games.

The Get Golf Ready program will consist of a series of five classes with two different start dates to choose from. To ensure everyone gets personal attention, the number of attendees will be capped at four per class, and each will run for one and half hours.

PGA Coach Brian Dumler will share his expertise. Registrants will gain knowledge of equipment, courses, terminology, and a grounding in a variety of techniques. They will be geared towards the absolute beginner and will include on-course play. Clubs will be available to use for anyone who needs them.

A workshop, class, or other activity that teaches the basics of a sport or hobby can be a fun way to get started. Stationery printers will be happy to supply custom designed certificates to present to the registrants when they “graduate.”

Hoffman Estates Parks will be running its Get Golf Ready program starting on Monday, April 20 and Wednesday, April 22. Each will run from 6:30 pm until 7:45 pm. While all participants are welcome, a discount will be on offer for in-district residents. Bridges of Poplar Creek will be the course for the sessions.
