As the weather warms up, Hoffman Estates gardeners will be heading out into their gardens for another season, and a local sale may help them add even more beauty to their flower beads.
The Hoffman Estates Garden Club brings home horticulturalists together to share their knowledge, learn from subject matter experts and have fun, and its annual plant sale fundraiser is not far away. It will be popping up for six hours, and it will be open to the public.
The activity will provide an opportunity to purchase plants grown in the local area, and many will have been grown in the gardens of the members themselves. This means they should do well in area growing conditions, and annuals, perennials, grasses , herbs, vegetables and dahlias tubers will all be available. Anyone wishing to build a pollinator buffet can choose native species such as coneflowers and milkweed, and as a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry, it will also give the shoppers a way to support their neighbors in need.
