Four days of fun see in the Fourth

The Northwest Fourth-Fest is being held for four days this time round, and is presented by Hanover Township, the City of Hoffman Estates, and the Hoffman Estates Park District.

There will be various activities taking place during the festival, including a carnival with more than 40 rides, food concessions, a craft fair, and concerts by bands such as Smash Mouth and the Modern Day Romeos.

Independence Day is set to be marked with a parade. It will travel down Illinois Blvd. and will have the theme of ‘America: Yesterday, Today and Forever’. Other events that day include a pie-eating contest, a Bags tournament, bingo games, pony rides, and a fireworks display.

Guests are asked to bring their own blankets and chairs to enjoy the numerous concerts that will be held during the festival. Parade participants might decide to invest in banner printing services from Hoffman Estates companies to make the name of their organization stand out.

The Northwest Fourth-Fest is taking place at the Sears Center Arena from July 3 to 6. Tickets are required for carnival rides and a mega pass is $50 and lasts for all four days, but general admission is free.

The parade will begin at 9:30 am on July 4, and fireworks are due to start at 9:30 pm. The craft fair will be held on July 5 and 6.
