The Bon Appetit Food and Drink Festival is taking place this month. It is a presentation of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This is a community festival that will highlight local restaurants and caterers in the Hoffman Estates area. So far, over 24 food vendors are attending this year, and applications are still being accepted. Fees are free for Chamber members or $300 for nonmembers (which can be switched for a membership).
As a reminder that not everyone is lucky to have enough food to eat, guests are encouraged to bring canned foods that will be donated to a local food bank.
Returning this year is the cupcake competition that pits culinary students against each other. The competitors this year are Elgin Community College and Harper College. Of course, the public will get to sample the cupcakes and help decide the winner.
In addition to allowing restaurants and caterers to showcase their food, this is also a networking opportunity for all involved. No doubt those planning to attend this Hoffman Estates event will be bringing their custom Business Cards to exchange with their peers.
