Charity event hope to find homes for older pets

The 7th annual Silver Paws gala is taking place next month in Hoffman Estates. It is a fundraiser for Young at Heart Senior Pet Adoptions.

This year’s theme is “Play Ball” and attendees are encouraged to dress to reflect that.

The evening will start off with champagne and appetizers. It will be followed by a five-course dinner that includes wine and dessert, and there will be an open bar too. Guests will enjoy musical entertainment from Cary and the Giants while bidding on items in the silent auction. There will also be a live auction and paddle raise fundraiser.

Other activities are set to include raffles and a wine pull. In addition, guests can pose in the photo booth. One highlight of the evening will be having the opportunity to meet some of the senior pets that are available for adoption and to collect their trading cards.

Sponsorships are available and organizers are still accepting items for the auctions.

The popular event raised over $130,000 last year and no doubt will generate a similar figure again. In order to advertise, organizers of events like this often invest in printed Invitations from local Stationery printers.

The Silver Paws gala will be held at the Chicago Marriott Northwest on October 21 from 6:00 to 11:00 PM. Tickets are $125 each or $1,100 for a table of 10. Call 847-529-2025 for more information.
