The Spirit of Life Gala will take place at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre on April 28 from 6-11 pm. Tickets for the gala are $175; all proceeds will go to support the Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity.
The gala will feature a four-course dinner, an auction, music by Lori Shane and the Mix and dancing. Local companies from the area and nearby Hoffman Estates will be donating auction items for the gala; one of the items that will be up for auction is a selection of wines. Local printing companies will most likely be helping the organizers prepare for this event by providing poster printing, brochure and banner printing services. Sponsorships are also available for $500 to $10,000; those companies will be named in the program booklet and in all advertising for the event, they will also receive tickets to the gala. For those who still wish to support the charity but cannot attend, they can make a donation to the Society.
The Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity will also be talking about their mission and they will let those in attendance know what can be done to help the organization reach their goals and to help more people. The Society was founded in 1971 and provides support services for pregnant women, new mothers and teens and their parents. Yearly they serve over 1000 women and over 8500 teens and their families. The organization presents school and community presentations for teens and their families which covers such topics as healthy living, setting goals and anti-bullying.
