The Building STEAM art auction is taking place next month, presented by the Prairie Center Arts Foundation and Amada America.
The art that will be up for auction is sculptures created by students and professional artists, with materials provided by local manufacturers.
The evening will start off with a free pre-event reception. It will include a chance for students to meet with employers from various manufacturing companies. Guests will also enjoy light refreshments. Cash awards will be given out for the top three sculptures by students.
The event itself will feature beer and wine and appetizers. There will also be a live auction and musical entertainment.
The auction is a way to draw attention to the importance of a STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) and to show how science and the arts are related.
To advertise this event in surrounding areas such as Hoffman Estates, organizers may invest in Flyers from a local Stationery printing company.
The Building STEAM art auction will be held at Amada America’s Solutions Center in Schaumburg on February 10. The reception will take place from 4:30 to 6:00 pm and the auction will be held from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets for the auction are $50 in advance or $60 at the door, and include two drink tickets.
