Gurnee pub introduces new dishes

Timothy O'Toole's Pub, located in Gurnee at 5572 Grand Avenue, has introduced some new menu items.

The restaurant has added new appetizers, salads, entrees, and sandwiches. The new offerings include Mediterranean flatbread, a Greek pub salad, Bahn Mi (which is Vietnamese for any type of bread, in this case, a sandwich made of chicken and ginger pulled pork), a platter of smoked meats, Bayou Mac & Cheese, and tacos.

The first O'Toole's opened in Chicago 22 years ago. The Gurney pub went into operation in 2009, and Libertyville will soon be home to the third O’Toole's in the Chicago area. The Gurnee pub is close to Key Lime Cove and Six Flags, both of which draw a large number of visitors. The restaurant has 30 HD flat screen televisions that are tuned to sports, 32 different varieties of beer on tap, and a number of options for entertainment, including karaoke and live music.

In addition to the new dishes, staples on the menu here include Irish Nachos, Pub Fish and Chips, the Michigan Avenue Salad, and a Guinness Beef Stew. Adventurous eaters can try the “Big Timmy Challenge”, and try to devour a hamburger weighing a full pound.

O'Toole's might consider working with a flyer printing company on a handout, including a coupon, for distribution near the restaurant while the menu changes are still recent.
