Beer festival supports military veterans in Gurnee

A beer festival will be returning to Gurnee this October, with a focus on celebrating and supporting military veterans in the community while showcasing local breweries.

The 9th Annual Legions of Craft Beer Festival will open in Gurnee soon to bring the community together in support of military veterans. The event, which is highly anticipated by craft beer fans, is expected to draw attendees from all backgrounds and walks of life. Organizers have announced that at least 35 craft beers brewed by over 20 Illinois breweries will be here for sampling.

Other options include hard ciders and autumn-themed treats from the festival’s food trucks and vendors. Live music will also highlight the gathering, with Big Brothers Vinyl acting as the headlining act. Organizers can invest in banner printing to raise awareness of community events like this by reaching more passersby, with the banner also acting as an effective way to welcome visitors.

The money raised at the festival will benefit veterans and their families in the Gurnee community through Friends of the Gurnee American Legion to combat homelessness and food scarcity. No children will be allowed, and all guests must be 21 or over.

American Legion Post 771 in Gurnee will host the beer festival on Saturday, October 3rd, from noon to 4:00pm. Tickets are $45 online or $55 at the door.
